Sankhya Shastra is the Vedic science of sacred numbers — one of the six orthodox Hindu philosophical systems. Learn how it establishes the vibrational quality of numbers 1-9 used in VastuIQ's numerology compatibility.
सांख्य शास्त्र — वैदिक संख्या विज्ञान। हर अंक की cosmic vibrational quality इसी से निर्धारित होती है।
Sankhya (सांख्य) is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy — alongside Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa, and Vedanta. The word Sankhya literally means 'number' or 'enumeration' in Sanskrit. Sankhya philosophy establishes that the entire cosmos can be understood through enumeration of cosmic principles — and that numbers are not merely mathematical abstractions but vibrational realities that carry cosmic significance. The number science derived from Sankhya philosophy underpins all of Indian numerology — establishing that each number 1 through 9 carries a specific cosmic vibration that interacts with human consciousness and physical spaces.
Numbers are not symbols — they are vibrational realities. Each number from 1 to 9 is a distinct cosmic frequency. The home you choose vibrates at the frequency of its number. Choose a frequency that harmonises with yours.

1 से 9 — हर अंक का ग्रह और अर्थ
वैदिक अंकशास्त्र — नवग्रह और अंक
Vedic numerology (वैदिक अंकशास्त्र, also called Anka Shastra) links each number from 1 to 9 to one of the nine planets of Vedic astrology, the Navagraha: 1 Sun (Surya), 2 Moon (Chandra), 3 Jupiter (Guru), 4 Rahu, 5 Mercury (Budha), 6 Venus (Shukra), 7 Ketu, 8 Saturn (Shani) and 9 Mars (Mangal). Each planet brings its own qualities, so each number does too.
In this tradition, a person’s birth number (from the date of birth) carries the energy of its planet, and a property’s number (from its address) carries the energy of its own planet. When the two planets are friendly, the home is said to support the person living in it; when they are not, the tradition speaks of friction. Sankhya gives the idea that numbers have qualities; the Navagraha system gives each number its planet.
