What is a Kundli, and what does it actually tell you?कुंडली क्या है, और यह असल में क्या बताती है?
A Kundli (Janam Kundli, or birth chart) is a map of the sky at the minute you were born, as seen from your birthplace. It shows which sign was rising in the east (your Lagna), where the Sun, Moon and the other seven grahas stood, and which of the 12 houses each one falls in, every house being one area of life such as money, home, marriage or work. Across those four hours the Moon stays in Aries in Bharani nakshatra, so the Rashi and the naming syllable do not change. But the Lagna moved from Leo to Virgo at 7:59 and to Libra at 10:15 that morning, and every house moved with it. It matters for Manglik too. Counted from the Lagna, Mars is in the 10th house at 7:00, which is not one of the Manglik houses, but in the 8th house at 11:00, which is. Same baby, same day. Astrologers also group the houses. Houses 1, 4, 7 and 10 (kendras) are the pillars of a chart: self, home, partner and career. Houses 1, 5 and 9 (trikonas) are linked with fortune and merit. Houses 6, 8 and 12 (dusthanas) are where effort, crisis and letting go happen, which is not the same as "bad". - Count anticlockwise.
